Meet The Artist

A woman painting colorful squares on a canvas in an indoor setting.

Biography

Mamta Kochhar is a person who is comfortable with the diversity that the world offers. Her cosmopolitan approach is built on international travel and encounters with a wide variety of cultures. She is a polyglot. She synthesizes these immersive experiences and captures them in colors, shapes, and patterns that reflect what she has seen and felt, often showcased in her art exhibitions.

Through her roles in life, Mamta truly expresses her character. As an adjunct professor and wellness coach, she supports people’s efforts to improve themselves and lead more satisfying lives. Her volunteer work with Literacy and Robotics programs demonstrates her motivation, stemming from a heart of care and compassion. She cherishes building relationships through teaching, collaborating, and sharing her passion for art with the world.

Mamta lives with her family along with an olive, lemon, and an orange tree in Pennsylvania.

Artist's Statement

ArtArsha was founded with a vision to bring my global contemporary art to a wider audience and to create a space where people can come together to engage with art and with each other. I am grateful to all the people who have supported my art exhibitions, and encouraged me to create this space. I believe that art has the power to inspire, transform, and to heal. I love to work in different media like canvases and Gesso panels. I enjoy blending hues to get precisely the right shade,  and laying down colors from the palette to the brush to the fingertip to the surface.

Each artwork involves a complex process - just as all simple things at the surface do. I like to offer original artwork to people who cherish and value it. Much of my showcased paintings, be it a gallery piece or one from a series are inspired by these experiences, people I meet, artists and movements I admire, countries and places I have visited, and the stories we exchange. I am committed to share my best, unique artwork with our community, family, and friends. This space and my artworks are curated for you, and I am thrilled you are here.

Thank you for adding my artworks to your environment. Please be well!
